Active Directory schema Microsoft Microsoft Windows Regsvr32

In this post, I want to show you how to use the Active Directory schema plugin on a domain controller. First, you must register a DLL (schmmgmt.dll). Use the Regsvr32 utility with the following syntax:

regsvr32 schmmgmt.dll

But if you want to use the Active Directory schema plug-in on a non-domain controller machine. You must specify the full path to schmmgmt.dll in the \ i386 directory of a Windows Server CD/DVD/ISO.

schmmgmt.dll
Once you have registered the snap-in, you can add it to an MMC by following these steps: 1. Open a new MMC Console 2. In the MMC Console, go to File » Add/Remove Snap-in 3. Add the Active Directory Schema snap-in
Active Directory schema
You can now save the Active Directory schema console. Click Save, choose a location, give the MMC file a name, and click Save. The default save location is the Windows Administrative Tools folder.

Thanks for reading my post. I hope you find it useful.
